You’re in better shape than most Ron. You don’t appear to be flagged as a spammer. How much commenting do you do?
Read the comment just below this one though. My comment in my own GrowMap blog went into moderation but the exact same comment – EXACTLY the same down to the post I used in CommentLuv and being careful not to put trailing spaces in any field – went live immediately in both this blog and at GrokHorses.
I definitely have prior approved comments in GrowMap using the name Gail @ CommentLuv so that really makes no sense. I hope it doesn’t indicate that WordPress is randomly sending our comments into moderation without cause.

NOTES from GrowMap: This comment went directly to spam.
Whenever you see the white screen that indicates your comment was immediately deleted because that blogger has a box checked in their Akismet configuration that does that.
If your comment does not immediately appear and you do NOT see the message that it is being moderated that means your comment went directly into SPAM. If you contact the blogger to let them know most will look for your comment and consider approving it.
Here are my recommendations:
1) Always copy your comments BEFORE you submit them so you can paste them back in if necessary.
2) Use the blogger’s contact form or Twitter or any other method you see to let the blogger know. If you see a white screen send them this link. If you do not see a message that your comment is being moderated ask them to look for your comment in spam.
3) Contact Akismet to ask to be unflagged as a spammer. Avoid commenting in blogs you know to be unfriendly to what you write to lengthen the amount of time before you end up flagged as a spammer again.
